1
Pour an inch of water into a baking dish. Select a dish that is bigger than the paper you want to marbleize and that will not be damaged by the paint.
-
2
Add one drop of dish washing liquid to the dish. This will help the paper absorb the color.
-
-
3
Drip paint drops in the water. Do not squeeze large amounts of paint, but let one or two drops fall at a time onto the surface. The paint drops will float.
-
4
Fold the paper to form a "U" shape, holding it in both hands.
-
5
Swirl the colors with a stick to create a marbling effect. Avoid mixing the colors together completely.
-
6
Place the "U" shaped part of the paper on the surface of the water and lower the sides gently. Do not push the paper down into the water.
-
7
Remove the paper from the water and place on the towel to dry. Let it dry completely before using in any project.
-
8
Place the dry paper between two pieces of clean, dry paper and iron gently, if needed.
