How to Add Your Wife on Facebook

If you keep your featured relationships private, only your friends will see your spouse.

In addition to sharing your day-to-day updates with friends using the Facebook network, use the site to keep people in the loop about your long-term choices, such as getting married. While you can simply list your marital status on your profile, it is also possible to link with your spouse's Facebook profile. When you list your wife in your relationship status, friends can quickly navigate to her profile.

Instructions

1. Point your browser to your Facebook profile.

2. Click on the gray "Edit Profile" icon, located in the top right corner of the screen.

3. Click on the "Featured People" tab in the left column of the screen.

4. Select "Married" from the drop-down menu in the "Relationship Status" line.

5. Begin to enter the name of your wife in the "To" field, which appears beneath your relationship status. As you type your wife's name, Facebook generates a list of your friends that match your entry -- once you see her name, click it once to select it.

6. Click the blue "Save Changes" button at the bottom of the page.
