Even if you do not have access to a mobile phone, you can still send a text message to a MetroPCS user. MetroPCS users can receive a text message from an email account. The message is viewed just as a normal text message from a mobile phone. Text messages sent from your email longer than 160 characters are divided into several texts. Although a text from your email is free for you, it may incur a fee for the person receiving the message.

Instructions

1. Access your email account in a web browser on your computer. Log into your account.

2. Click "New Email Message" or "Compose" to view a blank email message.

3. Enter the recipient's MetroPCS mobile email address in the "To" field. The email address is the recipient's mobile phone number followed by "mymetropcs.com." For example, [e-mail].

4. Type the text message in the body of the email and click "Send" to deliver the text to the MetroPCS phone.
