How to Run Combat Arms in Windowed Mode


"Combat Arms" boasts more than 3 million users world wide. This popular first person shooter draws competitors because of its top notch graphics and the fact that it is absolutely free to play. Users with older computers and less then 2 gigabytes of RAM memory may experience lag when playing online. One of the simplest ways to improve performance is to run Combat Arms in "windowed mode" which decreases some of the strain on the system.

  • Right-click on the Combat Arms desktop shortcut.

  • Click on the "Target" field.

  • Add "-w" without the quotes to the end of the command line. The new line reads "C:\Nexon\Combat Arms\Engine.exe" -w if done properly.

  • Click "Apply."

  • Double-click on the modified shortcut to run Combat Arms in "windowed mode."

Tips & Warnings

  • Use the modifiers -width 800 -height 600 -w to run Combat Arms in an 800 by 600 window. Substitute any values you want to customize the window size and resolution.
