"The Strangers" is a horror film about a couple on a romantic vacation, who are suddenly terrorized by three people wearing masks. The masks worn by the home invaders are very basic. One of the character's wears a burlap bag with eye holes and a mouth drawn on, while the two female intruders wear white plastic masks with carefully painted embellishments. You can choose the style of mask you like most.

Step 1

Pull the bag over your head. Close your eyes and use your fingers to find your eyes. Using a marker, make a mark on the outside of the bag over your eyes.

Step 2

Take the bag off, and cut around the mark to make eye holes in the burlap bag.

Step 3

Paint on a thin smiley mouth with black acrylic paint. Allow the paint to dry for at least 48 hours before putting it on to prevent inhaling vapors.

Step 4

Cut 12 evenly spaced holes around the opening of the bag. Weave a thin piece of rope through the holes. Tie a loose knot to secure the bag around your neck, once it is on.

Female Mask

Step 1

Purchase a plain white mask from a costume shop plus black, white and pink acrylic paints from an art supply store. Lay the mask on a flat surface.

Step 2

Paint a small area directly above the eye hole with pink paint, like eye shadow. Add small lines around the eye hole, like exaggerated eyelashes.

Step 3

Paint the center of the mask's lips red. They should look similar to Betty Boop's signature cupid's bow, pursed lips.

Step 4

Thin out some pink acrylic paint with a little white paint and water until it is the color of light blush. Paint the cheeks.
