How to Get to the Embedded Tower in SoulSilver
In "Pokemon SoulSilver," hidden areas are scattered around the game's map. In some cases, you cannot access these areas until you complete certain events in the game. For example, you can find the Embedded Tower on Route 47 by using the Rock Climb and Surf techniques. After you collect the Red Orb item, Groudon, a legendary Pokemon, will take up residence in the tower.

Travel to Mt. Silver on Route 28 and enter the cave. The area is only open after you have collected all of the badges in the Johto and Kanto regions.

Navigate the cave until you reach the top of the mountain.

Defeat Red, the former Pokemon Champion, atop Mt. Silver.

Travel to Pallet Town and visit Professor Oak's laboratory. He will offer you Bulbasaur, a Grass-type Pokemon; Charmander, a Fire-type; or Squirtle, a Water-type. Choose the Pokemon you want to add to your team.

Return to the Johto region and travel north on Route 30, which is just above Cherrygrove City.

Visit Mr. Pokemon's house at the top of the route. He will give you a Red Orb item.

Travel to Cianwood City in western Johto.

Enter Cliff Edge Gate on the west side of the city. Inside, Chuck, a Gym Leader, will tell you about the Embedded Tower that awaits you.

Navigate the cavern until you emerge on Route 47.

Follow the path around the cliff face and then enter Cliff Cave. Use Rock Smash on the rocks within this cave to uncover items such as fossils and shards. The cave is also home to wild Pokemon, including Machoke and Steelix.

Climb down through the cave until you emerge on a beach at the bottom of the cliff.

Use Surf to travel west until you find another small beach.

Use Rock Climb to scale the hills north of the beach. The Embedded Tower is at the top of this area. A hiker will be standing outside of the dungeon to greet you.
