Maybe you have brought out your winter clothes after they have been hibernating in the back of your closet for a while and now they have a musty odor to them. Instead of washing each garment, take a look around your kitchen for that half-full bottle of vodka. While you may just think of this distilled beverage as an add-in to several drinks, it has other uses. Vodka can get out odors and deodorize musty clothing. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

      Pour vodka into a small spray bottle and close the spray bottle. Or, dilute the vodka with water using one part vodka and one part water.

      Hang your garment in a well-ventilated area. Spray a few spritzes of the vodka mixture onto the garment. You may want to spot test the garment with the mixture first, especially if it is a delicate fabric.

      Let the garment dry in the well-ventilated area. The vodka won't leave a smell and will kill any bacteria that has attached itself to the clothing.
