How to Get a Bullet Seed in "Pokemon"

Dozens of Grass-type Pokemon can benefit from TM09's "bullet seed" attack.

"Bullet seeds" blast foes up to five times in a row with high-velocity seed projectiles in Pokemon HeartGold and Pokemon SoulSilver. When players find TM09, they can use it once on a lucky Pokemon to teach it the Grass-type move bullet seed. Only a handful of Pokemon, such as Sunflora and Octillery, naturally learn this tricky attack, making TM09 even more valuable. Once you find and activate TM09, use it wisely on one of your favorite Pokemon so that bullet seed doesn't go to waste.

Instructions

    • 1

Walk southward from Violet City down into Route 32. Look for a young child Pokemon trainer named Gordon who uses a Wooper in a Pokemon battle.

    • 2

Take the stairs northwest of Gordon, and move left from the top of the stairwell.

    • 3

Move south through the tall grass to find TM09 sitting on the ledge just outside the overgrown patch.

Tips & Warnings

  • To use TM09, highlight it from the TM section of your item bag and activate it by pressing the "A" button. The game will ask whether you want to teach a Pokemon "Bullet Seed." Choose "Yes," and scroll to any Pokemon in your party labeled "ABLE" to teach it the move "Bullet Seed."

  • Bullet seeds shoot a hard seed at the enemy's Pokemon for two to five turns. If the bullet seed misses its mark, the player can choose a new attack at the start of the next round.
