These handy wrappers are made from flour or wheat. There are many ingredients home cooks and chefs use as fillings. Popular filling choices are seasoned meats, vegetables, beans, cheese and rice.       Preheat the oven to 350 F. Rip a 2-foot section of aluminum foil from the roll. Place the foil on a flat surface.

      Remove the tortillas from the packaging and place them in a stack on the aluminum foil. Sprinkle the stack with a few drops of water. Cover the stack with the foil and place it in the oven. Heat the wrappers for 10 minutes to make them pliable.

      Prepare your fillings and arrange them in bowls on the counter. Remove the wrappers from the oven. Open the foil and place the wrappers in front of you.

      Spoon the filling ingredients in the center of the tortilla wrapper. Use no more than 1 1/2 cup of filling for each 10 inch burrito. Layer the ingredients if you like or pre-mix them and fill them.

      Fold one side of the tortilla over the filling. Flip the top and the bottom up on the burrito and then roll the burrito all the way to the other side. This will secure the sides and prevent it from spilling.

Tips & Warnings

  • Corn tortillas are difficult to fold as burritos.
