Instructions

  1. The Frog

    • 1

Create eyeballs for the frog by gluing two 1/2-inch black pom poms to the tops of two 1 1/2-inch white pom poms. Use hot glue to secure them.

    • 2

Apply hot glue to the underside of the white pom poms. Press the pom poms to hood of a green sweatshirt hoodie. Use either a pull-on or a zip-up hoodie, whichever you prefer.

    • 3

Put the hoodie on. Wear green sweatpants, green gloves, socks and shoes to match. If you have trouble finding clothing that matches with the same green, use fabric dye to color white clothing green. Follow the directions included with the dye for proper procedures.

    • 4

Wear a crown on your head, on top of the hoodie. If the crown slips, use hot glue to attach it to the hoodie. As an added detail, wear green face paint to accentuate the frog look.

    The Princess

Wear a strapless, formal dress. In the movie, Tiana wears a couple of formal dresses. The first is a light blue, strapless gown. The second dress is a strapless, light yellow dress with a green overlay. Finding a dress exactly like the one from the movie will be difficult unless you purchase a replica from a costume shop. Instead, look for one in light blue or light green with a full skirt at your local thrift store. Alternatively, purchase a white dress and dye it using fabric dyes.

Add accessories. Wear a pair of long dress gloves. Wear white if you choose the blue dress or yellow for the green dress. Add a pearl necklace and pearl earrings for jewelry. Wear a pair of heels in either white or a color that matches the dress.

Style your hair into an up-do. In most of the formal scenes, Tiana wears her hair in a bun. Brush your hair back into a ponytail, smoothing the top with a brush. Secure your hair in a ponytail with a ponytail holder. Brush the loose hair to remove any knots. Twist the ponytail into a rope formation. Wrap the roped hair around the base of the ponytail. Tuck the loose ends of the hair under the bun you made. Use bobby pins to secure the bun in place, inserting them through the hair around the base of the ponytail. Use hairspray or hair gel to keep the top and sides down.

Place a tiara in your hair to accent the princess look.

Tips & Warnings

  • Tiana's makeup is subtle. Use natural colors and avoid heavy coloring.

  • Hot glue guns and the glue they produce can cause serious burns. Avoid touching the metal tip of the gun or the glue before it hardens. If you get glue on your skin, remove it as quickly as possible and treat the skin as you would normally treat a burn.
