How to Use Dragon Dictation on an iPod Touch
Dragon Dictation is a voice recognition application that allows you to speak to your iPod Touch and have your voice automatically transcribed into text. You can then copy and paste this text to an email, an SMS text message or any document. The application works by recording sections of audio and then running the sample through its software to detect the speech patterns. You can use Dragon Dictation on a fourth generation iPod Touch and above, as the newer iPods have a built-in microphone for recording the audio samples.
Instructions

-
1
Launch Dragon Dictation by tapping the application's icon on the home screen of your iPod Touch.
-
2
Tap the "Record" button in the center of the screen. This button is a red light labeled "Tap and Dictate."
-
-
3
Hold the iPod Touch in front of your face, close enough that you can see the entire screen, and speak the message that you want the application to process.
-
4
Press the "Done" button at the bottom of the screen when you've finished dictating your message. Dragon Dictation will process the recorded audio clip and display the text on the screen.
-
5
Tap an incorrect word to display a list of alternate choices. Select a word from the list and it will be substituted in the body of the text. Correcting errors in this manner trains the application to recognize your voice and gradually improves its accuracy.
-
6
Tap the "Keyboard" button in the lower left corner of the application window to manually change, add or remove text.
-
7
Press the "Export" button in the lower right corner when your dictated message is complete. Choose an export method from the options. The on-screen text will be copied into your preferred export method, such as an email, Tweet or Facebook post, and sent on to the relevant service.
