How to Get Gmail to Work With Google Calendar
Users of both Gmail and Google Calendar have a way to embed their Google Calendar right inside their Gmail inbox. This feature, which is offered through Google's experimental Labs section, allows Gmail users to insert a Google Calendar gadget right next to their Gmail inbox for quick access to upcoming meetings, events, weather and more. Get Gmail to work with Google Calendar by enabling the calendar gadget.

Sign in to your Gmail account at Gmail.com.

Open the settings menu by clicking the gear icon in the right-hand corner of the screen and selecting "Mail Settings."

Click on the "Labs" link to view Gmail's Google Labs features.

Click the "Enable" radio button next to "Google Calendar Gadget."

Scroll back up to the top of the page, and click the "Save Changes" button. A Google Calendar widget will now appear next to your Gmail inbox.
