You can swiftly access Shoutcast through a proxy and listen to your favorite station.

Shoutcast is an Internet-based radio directory that enables you to access over 45,000 community, music, talk and sports radio stations from the United States and around the world. You may need to use a proxy to access Shoutcast if the network you use to surf the Web filters this type of content, or if you want to access the site anonymously by hiding your IP address. Regardless of your reasons, connecting to Shoutcast through a proxy is a user-friendly operation.

Instructions

    • 1

Browse to a proxy site such as Proxy4Live.info, SurfBars.tk or FastOnHide.tk. These proxy websites let you bypass any network restrictions that may be hindering your Internet surfing abilities, plus they hide your IP address behind their server to keep you secure and anonymous. These proxy sites are free to use and connect you to Shoutcast through their server.

    • 2

Type Shoutcast's URL (http://www.shoutcast.com/) in the text field displayed in the proxy site you visit. This text field can be displayed in the middle or bottom of the page depending on the proxy website you decided to use.

    • 3

Click the "Go" tab displayed next to the text field where you typed the URL and you'll be redirected to the Shoutcast website while remaining anonymous behind the proxy's server. If your network is restricting access to Shoutcast, it will bypass the restrictions and give you access to the site by connecting you through its server.

Tips & Warnings

  • There are numerous proxy sites being uploaded to the Internet daily. You can access more proxies that can be used with Shoutcast by visiting the TechFaq "List of New Proxies" Web page.
