How to Beat Groudon in "Pokemon: Explorers of Sky"
The third boss battle of "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky" pits you against an illusion of Groudon -- the legendary Pokemon that is said to have expanded the lands by evaporating oceans with raging heat. Groudon may be an illusion, but he's still a tough opponent because he has high hit points and can deal a lot of damage. Players should first use items that will induce confusion or sleep and then attack using water-type, grass-type, or ice-type moves to emerge victorious against Groudon.

Confuse Groudon or put him to sleep. Throw a Totter Seed or Sleep Seed at Groudon to either confuse or put him to sleep respectively. Alternatively, you can use the battle move Grasswhistle to put Groudon to sleep.

Raise the attack power of your Pokemon by having them eat Violent Seeds.

Lower Groudon`s defense by throwing a Vile Seed at him.

Attack Groudon. Water-type, grass-type, and ice-type moves are all effective against Groudon, whereas electric-type, poison-type, and and rock-type moves are ineffective.

Use Reviver Seeds to revive your Pokemon if they get knocked out by Groudon.

Continue attacking Groudon until his hit points are reduced to zero. Groudon faints and disappears after he is defeated.
