How to Get a Rotten Hazelnut in "Viva Pinata"
Some pinatas in "Viva Pinata" for the Xbox 360 are domestic, which means they won't appear in your garden on their own. The rashberry, which resembles a pig, is a domestic pinata available from Miss Petunia's Paper Pets shop in the village. In order to romance a pair of rashberries, each rashberry has to eat a rotten hazelnut, a rotten gooseberry and a rotten chili. Hazelnuts grow on hazel trees, but it takes time to grow a tree from a seed. Although any fruit will spoil after enough time passes, there's a trick to creating a rotten hazelnut.

Press the "X" button to enter the game menu and select "Village."

Go to Costalot's Store. Select "Buy" and choose "Fruit."

Purchase a hazelnut for 150 chocolate coins and place it in your garden. Complete your purchase and leave the store.

Equip your shovel from your inventory. Highlight the hazelnut and press the "X" button to tap the fruit, which makes it rotten.

Tips & Warnings
Do not press the "A" button when the hazelnut is highlighted -- this will squash the fruit instead of making it rotten.
