How to Run Linux on a Samsung Instinct S30
The Samsung S30 Instinct phone has USB mass storage. This means that you may transfer software and files to your phone with a USB card. This is the same case when running Linux on your Samsung phone. Ubuntu created the version of Linux for touch screen and tablet devices. When connecting your USB card to your Samsung S30, you have the option to install or boot Linux on it.

Download and install Ubuntu LiveUSB Stick onto your USB card (see Resources).

Plug the USB card into one of the ports on your Samsung S30.

Turn on your Samsung phone. Press and hold the "MENU" button. This will take you to the phone's BIOS settings.

Press the up and down arrow buttons to select "Boot from USB." Select the option to boot "Ubuntu." Your phone will start up the operating system.

I'm having trouble getting my Instinct S30 to boot to the BIOS per the instructions. Which button are you considering the "Menu" button? I've tried all of them. The only one that does anything upon startup is the volume down button. Doing so puts it into "Download Mode". No other key seems to do anything at all when powering on the phone.
