Citrus County, Florida -- like other jurisdictions -- maintains a Code Compliance Division to help deal with a variety of quality-of-life issues for local residents including police, fire, roads, public nuisances, noise pollution, and general health. The county allows residents to file complaints about any code violations online at the Board of County Commissioners website, and also provides contact and staff information for the division.

      Visit the website of the Code Compliance Division of the Citrus County, Florida, Board of County Commissioners (link provided in References). There is a link provided to "report a problem or complaint." By clicking this link you will be guided to an online complaint form.

      Complete the "report a problem" complaint form by listing in the narrative box the location of the problem, followed by a description of the problem you wish to be corrected. Select the type of complaint on the right side of the document so that it can be routed to the correct department. For example, to report a building that does not have handicap access you would click building violations.
