How to Add Scripts in a Thesis 404 Error Page

If someone tries to access a page on your website that does not exist, the result is a 404 error page. The 404 error simply means that the request page was not found. While static sites show a default browser-specific error page, some blogs keep the user on the site when displaying the page. If you have a site running the "Thesis WordPress" theme, you can make customizations to your error page as well. Due to the design of the Thesis framework, you must use a free plug-in to make any changes to the 404 error page.

Instructions

    • 1

Click on "Plugins" from the dashboard of your site that is running Thesis, and then click on the "Install" tab. Enter "Thesis OpenHook" in the text field and click "Search Plugins." Once it appears on the screen, click "Install" followed by "Activate." The installation takes less than 30 seconds, and it is completed when the "Activate" link appears on the screen.

Click on "Thesis OpenHook" under the "Appearance" menu from the dashboard of your site. When you do this, the OpenHook editing options will appear on the screen.
