Instructions

      Make 10 chain stitches and join in the first stitch with a slip stitch to form a ring. Chain 6 stitches and make 1 single crochet in the ring. Chain 6 stitches again and make another single crochet in the ring. Repeat this 4 more times. Make three chain stitches and make a double crochet stitch in the ring to form a second loop.

      Make 6 chain stitches and make a single crochet in the second stitch of the first loop. Make 6 chain stitches and make a single crochet in the fifth stitch of the first loop. Repeat this for all loops in the ring. In the last loop, chain 3 stitches and make a double crochet in the fifth stitch of the last loop.

      Chain 6 stitches and make a single crochet in the top of the loop in the previous row. Repeat 6 chain stitches and 1 single crochet for all the loops. In the last loop, chain 3 stitches and make a double crochet in the top of the last loop.

      Repeat the steps in Step 3 until all chain 6 loops are straight. Repeat the steps in Step 2 and follow with steps in Step 3. Follow this sequence until the head covering is large enough to fit your head. Finish the snood by making a knot at the end of your stitches and fasten off. Cut away the excess thread.

      Thread a thin ribbon or thin elastic through the outermost row of the snood to finish the head covering.
