How to Scare Your Mom on Halloween
Halloween is fun for the entire family. While the younger kids get dressed up and make their rounds Trick-or-Treating, the older ones are making ooey gooey messes in preparation for their basement party and the parents are rationing out candy for the entire neighborhood. Amp up your Halloween hoots by getting your mom in on the action; devise a few scare tactics that will drive her batty. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Start light for a mom who scares easily. As she's bustling around in the morning doing her routine morning chores, deluge her with an abundance of fake spiders to greet her when she turns on the light in the laundry room. Leave a realistic, hairy spider in eyeshot where you know she's likely to see it. Add a spider in her shower or place one atop her salad inside of her plastic lunch container. Then, when she opens it (hopefully at work), she receives a scary treat.

Place a bloody severed hand toy in her work bag. Include red slime inside the pouch, so when she reaches in for her notebook or pen, she's greeted with quite a realistic scare. Use the removable slime so that it doesn't damage or moisten any important paperwork.

Bandage your hand and douse it with fake blood. As soon as she pulls into the driveway, run outside to greet her with a prop knife hanging out of your hand. Run out screaming that you need to go to the hospital right away. Push the button for the fake blood release so more blood oozes from your hand, even spewing onto the driveway; shriek at her while attempting to climb into the car.

Try not to give your mom a heart attack with this one. Dress up in a disgusting monster or chainsaw murderer costume, fully equipped with bloody props and tattered clothing. Wait for her while she comes home from errand running or a long day at work. Clear the house, making it completely still and hide your vehicle. Make the entire house appear as if no one is there. When she arrives, give her a chance to settle in, check the answering machine and even fix a glass of water for herself. Wait for her for in a common area you know she is likely to go into, such as her bedroom to change her clothes or the laundry room to feed the dog. Just when she's settled into what she's doing, jump out with a loud scream pouncing upon her. Yell out something funny like, "Trick or treat," so she can quickly diffuse her fear with the reality that you're just pranking her with a huge scare.
