How to Collect a List of Email Addresses From Your Website

When you add an email subscription box to your website, you give your visitors the option of adding themselves to your mailing list. You can then use your mailing list to send your visitors updates and other information related to your website. Many email subscription boxes can be found online for free, but most require a paid upgrade for use of advanced features.

Instructions

Bravenet

1. Go to "bravenet.com."

2. Click on "Free Web Tools" in the navigation bar at the top of the page.

3. Click on "Mailing List" under "Our Most Popular Web Tools."

4. Click on the "Get Your Mailing List" button at the bottom of the page.

5. Click on the "Join Bravenet Now" button in the bottom-left corner of the page.

6. Fill out the signup form. Once it is complete, you will be redirected to your Bravenet Mailing List Manager.

7. Click on the "Get Code" button under "Subscription Box HTML Code."

8. Customize your subscription box using the options provided.

9. Click on the "Get the Code" button at the bottom of the page.

10. Copy the code.

11. Paste the code into your website's source document or code editor.

Your Mailing List Provider

1. Go to "yourmailinglistprovider.com."

2. Click on the "Create a Free Account" button in the middle of the page.

3. Fill out the signup form.

4. Log in to the email account that you provided in your signup form.

5. Open the email sent to you by Your Mailing List Provider.

6. Click on the link in the email. This will take you to your account page with Your Mailing List Provider.

7. Click on "Create/Edit Form" under the "Website Forms" tab.

8. Click on the "Add Form" button.

9. Customize your Mailing List form using the options provided.

10. Click on "Save Changes & View Website Integration Instructions" at the bottom of the page.

11. Copy the code.

12. Paste the code into your website's source document or code editor.

Aardvark Mailing List

1. Go to "aardvarkmailinglist.net."

2. Click on the "Sign up now for your free mailing list" link in the middle of the page.

3. Click on the "Click here to register" link under "Step 1."

4. Click on the "Aardvark Internet Login Account Setup" link beside "Add Account."

5. Fill out the signup form.

6. Log in to the email account that you provided in your signup form.

7. Open the email sent to you by Aardvark Mailing List.

8. Click on the link in the email. This will redirect you to the Aardvark Mailing List website.

9. Click on the "click here" link in the middle of the page.

10. Click on the "Existing mailing list users -- login here" link at the bottom of the page.

11. Log in using the user name and password you created when signing up.

12. Click on the "Click here to add a new mailing list" link at the top of the page.

13. Customize your mailing list using the options provided.

14. Click on the "Save Mailing List" button at the bottom of the page.

15. Click on the "Close this window" link in the mailing list creation confirmation box.

16. Click on the "Code" link under "Get Website Code."

17. Copy the code.

18. Paste the code into your website's source document or code editor.
