How to Get a Recruiting Job
A recruiter acts as a middle man between companies and the workforce, looking to place qualified employers in open positions that need to be filled. Although many recruiters work in house, actively seeking out talent for the company, many recruiters work privately or for recruiting firms, who contract with companies on a demand basis. To become a recruiter you need to complete certain education requirements and certification courses and be ready to start low on the totem pole in the human resources department.

1
Get a degree in Human Resources or a Masters of Business degree (MBA). If you have a bachelor's or higher degree already, go back to school for a Human Resources diploma. These degree programs will prepare you for working within the Human Resource department of a company.

2
Take some specialized recruiter training courses. Courses in interviewing techniques, computer information systems, and principles of management all help you excel in performance as a recruiter and look good on your resume. Other special certification courses like the Confluence Certified Recruiter Course, lets employers and clients know that you have been trained by certifying body.

Apply for a recruiter position within an established company. Outline your education experience and goals in a well-written and organized resume and be prepared to sell the employer on the skills you posses that will set you apart from other recruiters. If you have little or no actual recruitment experience, you may want to apply for administrative or assistant positions within the Human Resources department until you build enough experience, skills, and training to move into a recruiter position.
