phpBB is a popular free forum software package that is used on thousands of websites. The software is easy to use and offers many features. One of these features is the ability for website visitors to post images along with their forum posts. The image is saved on the web server and displayed with the individual post.

Open a new forum thread by selecting "New Topic" in a category or "Reply" in an existing topic.

Type the text for your post as desired.

Choose the "Upload attachment" tab located underneath the text box, choose "browse" and select the file to attach. Click "Add the file" to upload your image to the post.

Continue editing and submit the post as you normally would. The image will be attached to the post with a small preview available to forum visitors.

Tips & Warnings
Some sites restrict attachment file sizes and dimensions. Large images may be rejected automatically. Also, some sites restrict image posting privileges.
