How Do I Install a PCMCIA Card in a Laptop?
PCMCIA cards are small self-contained expansion devices that add various features to your laptop computer. One of the PCMCIA devices is a wireless network adapter, but PCMCIA cards are also used for such devices as dial-up modems and even TV tuners. To use PCMCIA cards, you must have a PCMCIA slot. PCMCIA slots are often located on the left or right side of your laptop. Refer to your computer's documentation to make sure your laptop has PCMCIA card support.

Insert the PCMCIA card driver CD into your laptop's optical drive. Follow the on-screen instructions to begin the driver installation.

Insert the PCMCIA card in your laptop's PCMCIA slot when prompted to do so. Your computer will automatically recognize the card and proceed with the driver and software installation.
