It's weekly family game night and you're not sure what to play, especially with younger kids. Monopoly Junior, while suitable for kids, is also a game that adults can play. The game encourages math skills by counting money and strategy by choosing which properties to buy. Monopoly Junior Disney edition is a version of the original Monopoly Junior game with a Disney Channel theme. Your kids will recognize some of the Disney Channel stars like Hannah Montana when playing the game.

Set-Up

Choose a pawn like Hannah Montana, Cory or Kim Possible and put it at the "Go" spot.

Shuffle the Chance Cards and place them in their designated spot, face down on the board.

Pick red, blue, yellow or green and take 10 plastic televisions in that color. If there are only two players, take 12 plastic televisions each.

Give each player $31 in this manner: five $1's, four $2's, three $3's, one $4 and one $5.

Roll the die to see who goes first. Highest roller starts the game.

Game Play

Roll the die on your turn and move the designated amount of spaces.

Follow the instructions of the space where your pawn landed. If it tells you to pick up a "Chance" card, pick one up and follow the instructions on the card.

Get a "Free Television" Chance Card and place a television of your color onto the space with the corresponding color that's on the "Free Television" card. If each space has a different colored television, remove one and place yours in its place. If both are taken by the same colored television, you're unable to do anything.

Land on an empty property like The Cheetah Girls 2 and you can purchase the property. This amount will be on the space you have landed on. Give the money to the bank. If you don't have the money for the property, don't pay anything and wait until your next turn. Place one of your colored televisions onto the property.

Land on a piece of property that's taken by another colored television and pay that player the amount that's on the space.

Land on "See Dr. Drakken" or "Ms. Darbus Sends You to Detention" and pay $2 to the bank.

Land on "Go to Lunch" and place your pawn onto the "Lunch" space. Pay the bank $3.

Pass or land on "Go" and receive $2.

Run out of money and you lose, signaling the end of the game. The remaining players count up the rest of their money. Whoever has the most wins the game.
