How to Make an Extra Poofy No Sew Tutu
Little girls love to dance. Make an extra poofy tutu for your extra special little one to wear to dance class, play dress up or just for fun. It is easy to make a no sew tutu. Choose a combination of colors or one solid color for your tutu. Making a no sew tutu is an easy project you can complete in less than an hour.
Things You'll Need
- Tulle -2 yards of each color or a roll of each color
- Elastic
- Scissors
- Needle
- Thread
- Measuring Tape

Measure the waist of the person you are making the tutu for. Cut a piece of elastic the same size for your waistband. Tack the two ends of the elastic together with a simple stitch to create a circle. The stitching will be covered so it does not have to look perfect.

Cut 14-inch long and 6-inch wide strips of tulle. You can use tulle that comes on a roll or by the yard. For an extra puffy tutu, you will need approximately three yards or three rolls of tulle.

Fold the strips in half, place them over the elastic and tie them together. Tie one layer of tulle on the entire waistband. Add an additional layer for an extra poofy tutu. If you are using more than one color, alternate the colors of your strips for an even look.
