How to Make a Twitter Background From Your Followers
While Twitter allows you to personalize your social-media account to some degree, all Twitter layouts look more or less the same: a large white column in the middle containing the majority of your content, a narrow column on the right with your stats and information about Twitter trends, and the background graphic of your choice. You can choose from the default backgrounds Twitter offers, or you can upload your own background graphic to further personalize your profile. If you'd like to create a unique Twitter background, Twilk is a free service that creates a collage out of the Twitter avatars of your followers.

For layout options, choose between a full desktop collage, a sidebar collage or a collage that gradually fades into the background color of your current Twitter color scheme on the right.

Tips & Warnings
Your new Twilk collage displays a large graphic in the upper-left corner advertising Twilk's services. If you don't want your collage to display this advertisement, you must upgrade to Twilk Pro prior to creating your collage. Click "Learn More About Twilk Pro" link at the bottom of your settings page instead of previewing your wallpaper. You can learn more about the service, its costs and benefits, and, if you wish, register for the service at that time. Twilk Pro allows you to create a Twitter background from your followers without advertising the site on the image.
Change the color your Twilk background fades into by customizing your Twitter design. Log in to Twitter. Click your username in the upper-right corner, then click "Settings." Click the "Design" tab in your Settings dashboard and then click the "Change Design Colors" at the bottom of the page. Select the background color of your choice by clicking the square under "Background," then clicking the color you want. Save your changes by clicking the blue "Save Changes" button.
You must tweet a notice that you've used Twilk to create a background from your followers to complete the collage-creation process. If you don't want to advertise Twilk with a tweet, visit your profile immediately and delete the tweet.
