The ultimate goal of a laser tag match is to hit the sensor-covered vests of your opponents with an infrared gun while simultaneously keeping your own vest from being hit. Although there are a number of tactics that can help you do well at laser tag, the clothes you choose to wear when you play could determine if you win or lose the match. Whether the laser tag match is played indoors or outdoors, you should choose clothes with an eye towar comfort and concealment to allow you the best chance at success.

Choose a pair of jeans, shorts, leggings or exercise pants that will allow you to be flexible and move with ease as you run and bend throughout the match. Opt for a pair of dark-colored bottoms for indoor laser tag and a pair of natural-colored or camouflage-patterned bottoms for outdoor laser tag to conceal yourself from your opponents.

Select a shirt, tank top or sweater that is light and form-fitting so that you do not become overheated or have trouble wielding the laser tag equipment. Dress in a dark-colored top for indoor laser tag so that you do not glow and reveal yourself under the black lights. Choose a natural-colored or camouflage-patterned top for outdoor laser tag to hide from your opponents.

Wear a pair of sneakers so that you will be able to move quickly and safely throughout either an indoor or outdoor laser tag arena. Select a pair of hiking boots for an outdoor laser tag match that takes place on a rough terrain. Do not wear a pair of shoes that can slide off your feet, have heels or have open toes.

Fasten long hair in a high ponytail or bun to keep your neck cool as you move throughout either an indoor or outdoor arena, and make sure that your hair does not get caught in the laser tag equipment. Wear a dark-colored hat to keep light-colored hair hidden from your opponents.
