How to Turn Off Sound When Firefox Opens a New Website
Some websites start playing audio when you visit the site. If you're in a quiet environment like a library or office, visiting these sites could annoy the people around you. If the audio that starts to play is an advertisement, you might want to turn it off because it annoys you. Firefox doesn't have an option to disable the sounds when a website loads. However, you can tell Windows 7 to not play sounds from Firefox, which accomplishes the same thing.
