Open your Internet browser, such as Internet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox and visit the Megaupload file link you would like to open.

Enter the verification code prompted with the correct letters and numbers on your keyboard to verify you are not spam. Once you verify your identity by entering the captcha image correctly, you must wait 45 seconds to begin downloading the file.

Select "Regular Download" to begin downloading and saving the Megaupload file to your computer's hard drive once the waiting time is up. Save the file in a location you will remember, such as your computer's desktop.

Locate the file on your computer once the download is complete and open the file using a zip file managing program. Some well-known zip file managers include 7-Zip (7-zip.org) and WinZip (winzip.com), both available for download from the official company websites.
