Instructions

    • 1

Lay the newsprint with the long side of the paper on the horizontal. Measure one inch in from the left hand side. Measure 18 inches across from the one inch mark and draw vertical lines straight down, so there is and 18 inch space with one inch on each side.

    • 2

Measure 12 inches down, and draw a horizontal line straight across. Make another vertical line down the center, at 10 inches from the edge.

    • 3

Draw a three-inch high tab in the one-inch space on either side of the folder, with the lower edge 12 inches down, just above the pocket lines.

    • 4

Cut out the template; the sheet will stay mostly intact, except for the sides. Do not cut the center line.

    • 5

Lay the template over each piece of card stock and trace it one at a time. Cut each out, and draw the center line and the horizontal line 12 inches from the top.

    • 6

Cut the center line from the bottom just to the horizontal line.

    • 7

Fold the two side tabs in. Use a bone folder or the back edge of a scissors blade to make a sharp fold. Fold the two pockets up, then fold the center line, making the folder.

    • 8

Glue the tabs to the inside of the pockets.

    • 9

      Decorate the folder as desired.
