How to Create & Edit Categories in CPanel for WordPress
You can use WordPress software to create and manage your website or blog. WordPress is highly customizable, with thousands of add-ons and widgets that limit your creativity only to your imagination. In addition, you can create and edit categories for your blog posts and articles. Categories sort your posts and articles so that readers can view areas they are interested in. Adding and editing categories is performed in the WordPress Dashboard.

Log into your WordPress control panel. Your control panel is located at http://yourwebsitename/cpanel, where "yourwebsitename" is the actual name of your website.

Click your user name at the top left and then click "Dashboard" from the drop-down menu.

Click "Categories" under the Posts category in the left sidebar.

Create a category by typing a name into the "Name text" box, and then click the "Add New Category" button. To edit the category, mouse over the category name in the right panel, and then click "Edit." The edit panel allows you to change the name, slug, hierarchy or description of your category.

Tips & Warnings
You can bypass the control panel and access the Dashboard directly by logging into WordPress at http://yourdomainname/wp-admin. Change "yourdomainname" to the name of your website.
