Installing Wooden Mini Blinds for RVs

Just like a house, RVs or recreation vehicles such as motor homes also have windows. Although these windows tend to be of a lesser height than a standard window in a home, most have window blinds installed. If yours do not, you can install a mini-blind to help provide shade and privacy in your RV. The process will not differ much from installing a blind over a standard window. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions

    • 1

Position the blind rail above the top of the window casing and center it from left to right. Mark each end of the rail with a pencil.

    • 2

Place the mounting brackets next to the markings on the wall and mark each mounting hole on the bracket. Place the brackets off to the side.

    • 3

Drill holes deep enough to fit wall anchors designed for drywall or paneling.

    • 4

Drive the wall anchors into the wall with your thumb or with a hammer if the anchors do not go in easily.

    • 5

Place the mounting brackets over the anchors and secure the mounting brackets to the wall with the supplied screws and a screwdriver.

    • 6

Place the headrail into the mounting brackets and then slide the mounting bracket covers into place. The covers lock the headrail onto the brackets.
