How to Make Shape Earrings
The jewelry that you want can be expensive and hard to find, so an alternative is to make your own, especially if you already know the exact type you would like to own. Making earrings is the perfect craft for a rainy day or slumber party, and you can make them for yourself or to sell. Things You'll Need
- Earring posts and backs
- Hot-glue gun
- Hot-glue sticks
- Buttons, jewels, or other flat beads in shapes of your choice

Gather your supplies. Try laying out your supplies on a table and then matching up which beads, buttons or jewels you would like to use. Earring posts and backs, as well as beads, usually come in large packs, so you will be able to make many pairs of earrings.

Put a dab of glue on to one of the earring posts with your hot-glue gun.

Press the button onto the earring post and hold it for a few seconds so that the glue can set.

Wait for the glue to dry.

Wear your earrings, or sell them if you would like.

Take a small piece of thick paper of any color and push the earrings into the paper, If you choose to sell your earrings.

Press the nut onto the back of the earring post, so that the earring is wedged on to the paper.

Tips & Warnings
If you use buttons to make circular earrings, it looks great to stack two buttons of different sizes and colors. For example, put a smaller yellow button on top of a slightly larger blue button. The blue will peek out from behind the yellow, which is perfect for coordinating with colorful outfits.
If you choose to sell your earrings, design your own logo on the paper. It enhances the appearance of your handmade earrings and shows that you have a cohesive business.
