1
Squirt a small amount of styling cream into your palms and rub them together. Smooth the cream through your hair to get rid of frizziness before styling. Comb your hair to distribute the cream evenly and start with a smooth canvas.
-
2
Part the center of your hair with the comb to create an even amount of hair on each side for equal pigtails. Leave your bangs out, or you can pin them up for a cute look by pulling them up and securing them with bobby pins above your forehead.

Check the back of your head with a mirror to ensure that your part is straight. Adjust if necessary.

4
Grab one side of your hair and pull it through a ponytail elastic. Decide how low you want the pigtails and place them accordingly. Another option is to pull the elastics down a bit once you have them up in pigtails to create a looser, lower pigtail.

5
Put the other side of your hair into a low pigtail, repeating the above step.

6
Check out your hair in the mirror to make sure the pigtails have the look you wanted.
