How to Contact South Carolina Senators

You can write to your state senators about issues of concern to you.

You can contact your elected officials in South Carolina by letter, email and telephone. You can also use the standard contact form on the South Carolina senators' websites. Letters should be sent to the senators' offices in Washington, DC -- they may be answered by the senator himself or one of his staffers. Emails are now an easy and accepted method of contact.

Instructions

1. Send your letters to South Carolina senators addressed as follows:

2. Send comments or questions via email to the South Carolina senators using the email contact form provided on their websites. Enter LastName.senate.gov. Insert the last name of the senator you are trying to contact before the word "senate." These forms are easy to use and will prompt you for necessary information and allow you to submit your messages directly to the senators' offices.

3. Phone the Secretary to the Senate, in the Russell Senate Office Building at 202-224-3622. Someone at that number can connect you to the office of the senator you are trying to reach.

4. Write, email or phone either senator at any of his South Carolina offices. A listing of these offices and related contact information is located on each senator's website.

Tips & Warnings

• Be polite, respectful and concise in your correspondence with your South Carolina senator.

• Do not use profanity or make threats against the senators or against any other elected officials. Do not include extraneous material in your letters.
