How to Send Recorded Voicemail

By Faizah Imani

You can speak faster than you can type. For that reason, when you have a lot to say and a short time to say it, sending a recorded voicemail is a quick solution. When sending text messages, your nuance and subtlety of your voice is lost, and the tone of the message can easily be misinterpreted. By sending a recorded voice message, you can also ensure that your message comes through in your voice.

Sending your recorded message

Step 1

Sign up for an account with a service provider that allows you to send voice recorded messages. An example of such providers include Vocaroo, Voice4Mail, DialMyCalls, Tokbox Voice Messenger, Cloud Talk and GoogleTalk Voicemail. If you are using an applications-enabled smartphone, you can also download and install such voice applications from the iTunes App Store or your device's app store.

Step 2

Select the option to record a new voice message.

Step 3

Begin recording into your phone or a computer microphone the message you would like to send.

Step 4

Enter the email address or telephone number you would like to send the voicemail to. Depending upon the service provider, you may be able to send only to email addresses.

Step 5

Click the “Send” option to send your message.
