How Do I Get Bravil's Mages Recommendation in "Oblivion"?
"Oblivion" is the fourth game in the "Elder Scrolls" series. Players create a character and take him on adventures across the vast imperial continent while speaking to hundreds of characters and performing quests and services for them. The player must get the recommendation of the current leaders of the Mages Guild before they can get into the guild. Kud-Ei -- the leader of the Bravil branch -- will only give the player her recommendation if her magical staff is returned to her.

Travel to Bravil, which is south of the Imperial City, and then go to the Mages Guild, which is by the bridge to southern Bravil.

Speak with the guild leader, Kud-Ei. She tells you that if you want to get her recommendation, you need to retrieve her staff. She then gives you the first clue: the last person to see her staff was Vamori, who also lives in Bravil. She marks your map with his location.

Go to Vamori's house. It's marked on the mini-map. Speak with Vamori and play the rock-paper-scissors style conversation mini-game until his Disposition is 65 or above. Alternatively, give him money to increase his Disposition. He'll then tell you that he sold the staff to Soris Arenim in the Imperial City.

Travel to the Imperial City, which is north of Bravil. Soris Arenim's house is marked on the mini-map in the Talos Plaza District. Enter his house and speak with him. Bribe him or play the conversation mini-game until his Disposition is at 70. He then offers to sell you the staff for 200 gold.

Speak with his wife and bring her disposition up to 65. She tells you he stores the staff in a chest in the cellar and that the key to the chest is in his desk upstairs. Either take the key and steal the staff or pay Soris for it.

Return to Bravil and give the staff to Kud-Ei. She'll then give you her recommendation for the Mage's Guild.
