Double-click the Adobe Illustrator icon on your desktop to open the program.

Click "File," and then click "New" to open a new document.

Click the circle tool in the toolbox on the screen to select it.

Click on the document page to place the circle on the page. Press and hold the "Shift" key while holding the left mouse button down and dragging in or out to resize the circle. This preserves the shape of the circle.
