How to Remotely Connect to a MacBook

MacBook computers run the Mac OS X operating system, which is based on industry-standard and open-source components. Mac OS X features two open-source projects built in for remote connectivity. The Secure Shell (SSH) program lets you connect to the MacBook remotely from the command line, and Virtual Network Computing (VNC) lets you view and control the screen of the MacBook remotely. You can remotely connect to a MacBook by configuring the sharing settings in the System Preferences.
