Instructions

    • 1

Bake cupcakes and allow to cool. If you are using topping mix, prepare according to directions.

    • 2

Fill pastry bag or plastic bag with topping. If using a plastic bag, cut a small piece off one corner to form a hole.

    • 3

Cut a small cone out of the center of a cupcake and set aside. Pipe topping into the resulting hole. Cut off the point of the cone to allow room for filling and replace the cone in cupcake.

    • 4

Repeat Step 3 until all cupcakes have been filled.

    • 5

Frost cupcakes as desired and serve.

Tips & Warnings

  • An easier way to fill cupcakes is to simply pipe cream into their centers using a pastry bag with a needle tip, but this results in less filling than the cone-removal method.

  • Cream-filled cupcakes should be refrigerated.
