How to Turn Off TTY on the iPhone

The TTY feature on the Apple iPhone allows the device to connect to a teletype machine with an optional cable. Teletype allows hearing impaired users to make and receive calls on the phone. When the TTY feature is on, a phone-shaped icon with seven dots below it appears in the status bar. If you want to turn the TTY feature off, you can disable it through the phone's menu.
