How to Connect My RCA RT2770 & My PlayStation 3 to My Samsung Televison

Electronic components that you use for your entertainment system are typically interconnected to work together. This is the case when you want to connect an RCA model RT2770 home theater receiver and a PlayStation 3 game console to a Samsung television. To do this you will require the correct type of connector cables. The cables run from the PlayStation 3 to the RT2770 and the Samsung TV.

Things You'll Need

• HDMI cable
• Optical audio cable

Instructions

1. Plug one end of the HDMI cable into the HDMI port on the back of the PlayStation 3 console. Plug the other end of the HDMI cable to the HDMI port that is on the back of the Samsung television.

2. Plug one end of the optical audio cable into the "Digital Out" port on the back of the PlayStation 3. Plug the other end of the optical audio cable to the "Digital In" port that is on the back of the your RT2770 audio receiver.

3. Press the "Power" button on the RT2770, the Samsung television and the PlayStation 3.

4. Press the "Input" button on the remote for the Samsung television. Change the video input until you see a picture from the PlayStation 3 on the screen.

5. Increase the volume of the RT2770 to a desirable level by turning the "Volume" knob. If a game or DVD is ready to go in the PlayStation 3 you will hear audio when on the main menu.

Tips & Warnings

• If you do not have a Samsung HDTV you can use the component video cable to connect it to the PlayStation 3.
