Picasa to Facebook Instructions
Well before Google acquired Picasa from Idealab in 2004, the application already had thousands of loyal users. Picasa allows users to import photos from all types of media, sort and tag photos, and even create free online albums. Whether you are a longtime Picasa user or newcomer, chances are you have photos in the application that you have not uploaded to your Facebook account. While Picasa does not offer a direct way for you to upload pictures to Facebook, a free plugin available on the social networking site allows you to upload your photos with a few clicks.

Navigate to the Google Picasa website and download the latest version of the program if you do not already have it installed on your computer. Double-click the setup file and follow the on-screen prompts to install Picasa. Restart your computer if prompted to do so.

Navigate to the Facebook website. Enter your email username and password, then click the "Log in" button. Enter "Picasa Uploader" in the search box and press the "Enter" key. Click the "Go to app" button on the Picasa Uploader page.

Click the "Install Now" button on the Picasa Uploader app page. Click the "Yes" button in the confirm window. Wait for the app to download files to your computer and integrate the loader with Picasa. This might take a few minutes depending on the speed of your Internet connection.

Click the "Add" button after Picasa opens and displays the "Configure Buttons" window, then click "OK."

Click the folder name in the left pane of the Picasa window that contains photos you want to upload to Facebook.

Press and hold the "Ctrl" key. Click the photos in the right side of the Picasa window that you want to upload to Facebook.

Click the blue Facebook icon at the bottom of the Picasa program window after you select all of the pictures you want to upload.

Wait for the "Upload to Facebook" window to appear. Click the "Start Upload" button. If you have not yet logged in to Facebook, the program prompts you to enter your Facebook username and password.

Click the "Allow" button on the Facebook site when prompted. Choose the Facebook photo album in which you want to save the new photos. Otherwise, click the "Create a new album" option and enter name, location and description information for the new folder. Click the "Send to Facebook" button. Picasa Uploader uploads the photos to your Facebook account and saves them in the album you selected. You can share the photos on your profile page, tag them or enter comments.
