How to Replace Your Email on Tumblr

Change your e-mail address information on Tumblr's "Preferences" page.

Tumblr is a blogging platform and social media network. Unlike on many websites where you log in with a username, Tumblr's login page calls for your e-mail address instead. This feature allows you to change your username without changing your login information, as well as to create multiple Tumblr blogs under one account. If you change your e-mail address, you should let Tumblr know of the change in order to keep receiving e-mail notifications and other important information about your account.

Instructions

1. Log in to your Tumblr dashboard.

2. Click "Account," then "Preferences" at the top of the dashboard page.

3. Enter your new e-mail address in the "Email address" field at the top of the "Preferences" page.

4. Make any other desired changes to your preferences, such as your e-mail notifications or password, then click "Save preferences."

5. Use your new e-mail address (and password, if you changed it) next time you log in to Tumblr.
