How to Wax Muslin
Muslin is a natural lightweight cotton fabric well suited for outdoor activities and craft projects. Applying wax to muslin will provide a waterproof barrier against dirt and water, extending the life of your clothing and equipment. You can wax muslin with beeswax, paraffin or a combination of the two.

Heat the iron to the cotton setting.

Rub a wax block evenly over the iron's hot surface to coat it with a thin layer of melted wax.

Press the iron onto the muslin cloth to transfer the wax to the fabric.

Repeat steps two and three until the muslin cloth is covered with a waxy coating.

Wipe the iron's hot surface with a paper towel to remove the wax.
