FastAccess DSL Installation Instructions
FastAccess DSL is the brand name of Bellsouth/AT&T's high-speed Internet service. FastAccess DSL subscribers can install and configure the required software and required hardware with little effort or knowledge without calling technical support. They should follow the guided steps included on the installation CD-ROM to connect and configure the FastAcccess DSL connection for always on Internet connections.

DSL Hardware Installation

Turn the computer off before beginning installation.

Connect the two-port DSL filter to the main telephone connection in the home. Connect one single-port DSL filter to each device that uses a telephone line such as each telephone, cable or satellite receiver, and home security alarm. The DSL filters prevent DSL interruption, allowing the user to use the phone and access the Internet at the same time.

Connect the Ethernet cable to the back of the modem and the back of the computer. Connect a USB cable to the back of the modem and to your computer if you don't have an Ethernet port or choose to connect using USB rather than Ethernet.

Connect the DSL Line from the back of the DSL modem into the port labeled "DSL" on the two-way filter from Step 1.

Turn on the computer.

Insert the Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive.

Follow the on-screen instructions to install the FastAccess DSL software and modem drivers. Enter the password associated with the account when prompted during the software installation.

Reboot the computer when the software installation finishes.
