How to Remove the Meta From the Front Page of a WordPress Blog
You can have a WordPress blog up and running in a matter of minutes. After installation, all you need to do is add your blog posts and you're ready to go. However, there may be pre-set sections which you'll want to change, such as the "Meta" widget on your sidebar which includes a link to sign in. The "Meta" widget appears by default if you do not have any widget set up on your sidebar. By adding a widget to your sidebar, the "Meta" widget automatically disappears and is replaced by the widget you chose.
