How Do I Form Nice Round Dreads?
Dreadlocks can take a long time to form properly, and once they are formed, often the only way to take them out is to cut them off. When made properly, nice, round dreads can look quite spectacular. As long as a few materials are sourced before hand, and a little care is taken, you can form good looking, even, round dreads on your own. Having a friend with you can really help, especially when working on the back of your head. Does this Spark an idea?

1
Wash your hair with the residue free shampoo and let it air dry.
-
2
Section off your whole head of hair into the number and size of dreads you would like to create. Secure these sections using the rubber bands.
-
-
3
Twist each of these sections back and forth with your fingers to help form a single dread strand.
-
4
Apply some dread wax on your hand, and rub together with both hands coating both with a thin layer of wax. Let the warmth of your hands emulsify the wax.
-
5
Rub both hands along the length of each separate section of hair, while twisting the section lightly to coat all strands of hair. By twisting the hair that is now lightly covered in wax, you can create a round shape to the dread, the more you twist, the rounder and tighter the dread will become.
-
6
Do the same for each section, tying off the ends with rubber bands if your hair begins to unravel.
