How to Update a Friend's iPod Touch to 3.2
The Apple iPod Touch is a touch-screen iPod that shares similarities to the iPhone and the iPod. To update the iPod Touch, you must connect the iPod Touch to a computer that runs the iTunes 3.2 program. Updating the iPod Touch is free and only takes a couple of minutes.

Connect the iPod Touch to your computer by using the USB cord that came with your iPod Touch.

Allow iTunes to open automatically once the iPod Touch is connected to the computer.

Click on the iPod's name on the left side of the screen. If the iPod does not have a name, it will read "iPod."

Click "Sync" on the bottom-right corner of the iTunes program. Do not disconnect the iPod Touch during the syncing process. Monitor the progress by watching the status bar located at the top of the iTunes program.

Disconnect the iPod Touch once the sync process is complete. You will be notified that the sync is complete by reading the status bar at the top of the iTunes program. It will inform you that it is now safe to disconnect your iPod Touch.
